Wow… Already through most of September.
How has the month been treating everyone? I’m hoping well but it takes us all a little extra effort getting into the swing of fall routines. Our pool is now closed and weekday evenings have been reclaimed for relaxing and cooking.
So FALL-ISH right?!

Check out our Shop My Shelf for all the goodies!

As for cooking… I’m kinda over it! It’s got to be done, in the end I do have little bird-like mouths to feed but also uhhhhhhhh. I need more one-pot / sheet pan ideas in my life.

I have been enjoying this newly discovered podcast - Borderline Salty, a weekly podcast hosted by Carla Lalli Music & Rick Martinez both Bon Appetit alum. They’re smart, snappy and sassy insights reinvigorate my interest in cooking. Check it out.

In other, more beauty related news -

Violette, again yes… Violette. It’s a love I won’t let die. Her skincare is a bomb secret, not going to lie it’s like fancy French pharmacy skincare but affordable and accessible. My favorites are Boum Boum Milk and C’est La Creme.

The Boum Boum Milk is a soft milky spay formula which offers instant hydration and soothing. My skin reacts to almost everything, especially HA (hyaluronic acid) but this product soothes and moisturizes just the amount I need.

C’est La Creme is the perfect everyday moisturizer for those warmer weather months. Probably closer to the end of October I’ll switch my skincare to something far more rich as my skin gets super dry when our weather changes. This moisturizer is ideal for oily or combination skin types.

Over the past few years I’ve been reaching for more luxe fragrance options in place of a full makeup look - weird I know. The days of pregnancy and super young babies turned me off from any smells but now I’m back at it and it’s proving to be an expensive habit! I like the undiscovered scents with a good writeup… I also buy wine based on labels so I am who I am!

Here are a few of my favorites -

Night Flower by Eres Parfums, a leathery, animalic floral fragrance as per their site

Scorpio Rising by Eres Parfums, an explosion of spices on a smoldering, ambery base of woods, incense, smoke, and leather.

No. 04 Bois de Balincourt by Maison Louis Marie, a romantic scent with a Sandalwood fragrance and a dominant Cedarwood and Sandalwood accord.

This is a great dupe for a specific SANTAL everyone loves. It’s at a great price point and has some serious longevity!

With every new start, which according to me there are 3 per year (New Years, start of summer and the arrival of fall), I always jump on the health train. This usually means I reup my vitamins using Ritual. Female created and owned and using only the best, researched back ingredients these are my top picks for vitamins.

whoohoooo… its fall my friends!
And for an easy laugh… baby realness.
