Best Skincare Treatments to Get Before Your Wedding

A solid daily skincare routine is so crucial to achieving that wedding day glow. Get to know your skin and what products work for you. Don't know where to start? See a esthetician or dermatologist!

If you're looking to target specific skincare concerns before your big day, seeing a licensed professional is the way to go. We have compiled a list of some amazing professional treatments that might work for you.

Hydrafacial
Good for: glowing, radiant skin

If hydration is your main skincare need, a hydrafacial is going to be your best friend. This treatment flushes residual dirt and debris from your skin with water and a mix of hydrating solutions. Hydrafacials are best for achieving that plump, glowing skin. We recommend getting this treatment done every 4-6 weeks up until your wedding day.

Dermaplane
Good for: smoothing and exfoliating

If a smooth makeup application is one of your concerns, a dermaplane facial is something you should chat with your esthetician about. Dermaplaning involves the use of a blade to remove dead skin and fine hair from the face. This treatment not only provides a great manual exfoliation, but also allows for the best makeup application. We recommend getting this treatment one week before your wedding.

Chemical Peel
Good for: texture and acne control

If texture or acne are your main skin concerns, you might be interested in a chemical peel. Peels are a form of deep chemical exfoliation that encourage your skin cells to regenerate at a faster rate. If you have these skin concerns, but are maybe hesitant about getting a deep chemical treatment, we also suggest enzymes! Enzymes are natural acids that usually come from fruits, like pineapples. These provide a great chemical exfoliation without the intensity of a peel. We recommend getting this treatment at least 6 weeks before your wedding to allow for your skin to completely heal.

Lymphatic Massage & Body Treatments
Good for: bloating, detox, and exfoliation

Body treatments not only provide much needed relaxation, but also can be very beneficial to your wedding day prep. Services like lymphatic massage or body sculpting can release toxins from your lymph nodes and allow for stagnant fluid to be flushed out and released. This can help with bloating and overall organ health. This is one of Emily’s absolute favorite beauty treatments, for face and body alike!
Other body services we love include sugar or salt scrubs. We highly recommend a body scrub if you are going to be getting a spray tan before your wedding. This will get rid of any dry skin and allow for a smoother tan application.

We hope this guide to skincare services helps you get the wedding day skin you are looking for.
